The Brief
Cross Currents 2002 involved the visit for ten days of 25 professional and emerging Japanese visual and performing artists and four Buddhist priests of the Sodo Sect to the Johnstone Shire Region, far North Queensland. During this time they collaborated with 25 artists from Townsville to Cairns both in the artists studios and the Museum’s Sugarama Gallery and at the various sites throughout the Innisfail and Cairns region.
